This blog is in support of an exhibition of 7 recent graduates' work taking place in the No Grants Gallery in Templebar from December 1st to 22nd 2011, entitled, Middleground.

Middleground, presents a vista, firstly, in the traditions of art history.
It is also, defined as that place, where compromise has been made, where outcome has been neither reached nor denied.
One might say, it is the acceptance or recognition of Limbo.
Means of this ambiguity, trust that, As Borges said,

'We do not destroy by human reasoning, the faith that art requires of us.'

In doing so, we recognize each artist, as following their own agenda, and will work collaboritvely on curating this exhibition.
The waking paradox, is that in avoiding the common theme, we are thus spurned upon common ground.
Each perusing their own purpose, with still the possibility of objectively crossing path and sharing plateau.
